    Skin-Related Procedures

    Mole Removal
A minor surgical or laser-based procedure that excises or shaves away a benign or suspicious mole. The tissue can be sent for histology to rule out melanoma. Local anaesthetic is used, and healing typically occurs within 7–10 days with minimal scarring.

    Wart Removal
Treatment options include cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen), topical acids, electrocautery, or laser ablation to destroy the virus-infected skin cells. Several sessions may be needed, and normal activities can usually be resumed the same day.

    Genital Wart Removal
Performed with topical agents, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, or CO₂ laser in a confidential clinical setting. Local anaesthetic ensures comfort, and follow-up is advised to monitor for recurrence of HPV-related lesions.

    Cyst Removal
A small incision is made to remove the cyst sac intact, preventing regrowth. The outpatient procedure takes 15–30 minutes under local anaesthetic, and sutures are removed after about a week.

    Eyelid Cyst (Chalazion) Removal
A tiny internal incision is made on the eyelid to drain or excise the chalazion. Vision is unaffected, bruising is mild, and most patients return to normal activities within 24–48 hours.

    Cherry Angioma Removal
Pulsed-dye or KTP laser, electrocautery, or shave excision is used to eliminate these small, red vascular bumps. The treatment is quick, with pinpoint crusting that heals in a few days.

    Lipoma Removal
Through a small hidden incision, the fatty tumour is bluntly dissected and slid out in one piece. The procedure is painless with local anaesthetic, leaving a fine scar and negligible recurrence risk.

    Skin Tag Removal
Snip excision, cautery, or cryotherapy painlessly removes these soft, pedunculated growths. No stitches are required, and sites heal in under a week.

    Dermatofibroma Removal
A punch or elliptical excision removes the firm dermal nodule in full depth to prevent return. A single dissolvable suture line remains and gradually fades over months.

    Seborrheic Keratosis Removal
Curettage, cryotherapy, or ablative laser gently shaves off the waxy, “stuck-on” lesion. Pigment changes settle over a few weeks, revealing smooth skin.

    Keloid Scar Removal
Surgical excision is combined with intra-lesional steroid or radiotherapy to minimise recurrence of this raised, fibrous scar. Compression dressings and silicone gel are recommended post-op.

    Tattoo Removal
Q-switched or picosecond laser pulses fragment ink particles, which are cleared by the immune system over multiple sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Protective eye shields and topical anaesthetic ensure safety and comfort.

    Split Earlobe Repair
Under local anaesthetic, the torn margins are freshened and precisely sutured in layers to recreate a natural lobule contour. Stitches come out after 5–7 days, and re-piercing is possible after 3 months.

What's happened after Dermatology Consultation ?

Mostly performed in our offices, dermatological surgery makes it possible to excise cutaneous lesions with closures ranging from simple stitches to autoplasty (strip or total skin graft).
The type of intervention that will be performed and its venue depend on the nature of the lesion and the patient’s medical history.

Aesthetic dermatology, taught by a university and after postgraduate training, is another area of the specialty that is becoming increasingly important because of population aging, continuous quality improvement of the materials used, and media coverage of aesthetic rejuvenation techniques (Botulinum acid, Hyaluronic acid, Laser …).

This wide range of activities shows the privileged place held by the dermatologist in preventing, diagnosing and treating skin diseases and skin imperfections. Their early management also boosts self – esteem, thus helping improve the general state of the patients’ health.
