My consultation subject

Children and Adolescents

While parents play a central role in supporting their child’s development, there are times when external guidance becomes essential. When a child is in emotional distress or facing persistent challenges, parents may feel overwhelmed or unsure of how to help. My role as a psychologist is to bring clarity to these difficulties and explore practical strategies to help the child regain confidence and comfort in their daily life.

You may consider an initial consultation if your child is facing any of the following challenges:

  • Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
  • Defiance, aggressive behaviours (at home or at school), impulsivity
  • Social challenges such as bullying, isolation, or difficulty connecting with others—especially after a relocation or cultural change
  • Performance anxiety, fear of failure
  • Persistent worries or anxiety
  • Phobic reactions
  • Sadness or signs of depression
  • Learning-related concerns (disorganization, difficulty following instructions, suspected ADHD)
  • Psychological and cognitive assessments (attention, learning capacity)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Adults

Emotional difficulties can arise at any point in life, often triggered by stress, transitions, or internal struggles. Seeking psychological support during such times can be a meaningful step toward regaining balance and wellbeing. I provide support in a wide range of situations, including:

  • Persistent sadness, frequent crying, mood instability, suicidal thoughts or crises, trouble sleeping
  • Generalized anxiety, panic episodes, obsessive thoughts, or specific phobias
  • Work-related difficulties: stress, burnout, pressure, or compulsive work habits
  • Challenges related to pregnancy, postnatal experiences, or parenting roles
  • Adaptation difficulties linked to expatriation, cultural adjustment, or raising third-culture children
  • Psychological impact of physical illness
