Profile

Holding a degree in clinical psychology (Ecole de Psychologues Praticiens, 2008) and a degree in neuropsychology (Université Paris VI, 2014), Laurène has been practicing for 15 years.

Laurène initially worked for 7 years with children and adults in situations of psychological or cognitive disability. She then developed a particular sensitivity to the issue of integration, whether it be professional, social, or educational.

Laurène Lahierre continued to practice for 8 years in Singapore, working with an expatriate community and in educational institutions (nursery, primary school, ESSEC).

Having arrived in London since January 2024, Laurène wishes to continue offering patients an integrative approach, enriched by various therapeutic currents (psychoanalysis, transactional analysis, cognitive-behavioral approach).

She is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR therapy.

With kindness and non-judgment, Laurène provides support to her patients to help them better understand their difficulties and identify strategies for resolving their conflicts.

My consultation subject

Children

Parents are the primary actors who can help their child. However, there are situations where they are no longer “sufficient.” Faced with their child’s suffering, they can feel powerless. The psychologist then highlights the difficulties and thinks about tools/strategies so that the child can be more at ease. Several signs can lead parents to seek an initial consultation. I am particularly trained to support the following issues:

  • Lack of self-confidence, diminished self-esteem,
  • Opposition, aggression (at home or at school), impulsivity,
  • Relationship difficulties (bullying, isolation, fragilities in social skills, breaking of bonds due to expatriations),
  • Fear of failure, anxiety,
  • Phobia,
  • Depression,
  • Academic difficulties (poor understanding of instructions, lack of organization, ADHD),
  • Psychological assessment (efficiency and attention),
  • Autistic disorder.
Adults:

Any situation that causes an imbalance, discomfort, sustained pressure can lead to psychological suffering and deserves your attention. The reasons for consultation are varied, and here are the issues that I accompany:

  • Recurrent sadness, daily crying, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and attempts at acting on them, sleep disorders,
  • Chronic anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, phobias,
  • Professional burnout, stress, worries about the future, work addiction,
  • Issues related to perinatal or parenting: baby blues, parental guidance,
  • Expatriation, cultural shock, “third culture” child,
  • Psychological suffering experienced following a somatic illness.
