I completed my medical degree in Barcelona in 1989 and my psychiatric training in the UK. Having completed my core psychiatric training at UCL, and higher training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.

I have been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1995. I am certified on the Specialist Register, having completed the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training ( CCST) in General Adult and Liaison Psychiatry. I hold a Diploma in Forensic Psychiatry
by the University of London.

I have extensive experience in the field of psychiatry as I have been working as Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS for over 20 years in community and in an in-patient setting treating patients of working age.

I have run a bipolar clinic in NELFT for a number of years and have experience in CBT-I ( CBT for Insomnia).

I have experience in dealing with mood disorders such as depression and bipolar affective disorder. Psychosis such as schizophrenia, drug induced psychosis. Anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, eating disorders and ADHD.

I have an interest in Physicians health and since 2007 I have been volunteering at the Psychiatrists’ Support Service at the Royal College of Psychiatrists as advisor supporting colleagues and members of the College.

I have interest in Students mental health.
