Laurène Lahierre holds a degree in clinical psychology (École de Psychologues Praticiens, 2008) and a degree in neuropsychology (Université Paris VI, 2014), and has been practising for 15 years.
She initially worked for 7 years in Paris with children and adults in situations of psychological or cognitive disability. She then developed a particular sensitivity to the issue of integration, whether professional, social or educational.
Laurène went on to practise for 8 years in Singapore, working with the expatriate community and in educational institutions (nursery, primary school, ESSEC).
Having arrived in London in January 2024, she wishes to continue offering patients an integrative approach, enriched by various therapeutic currents (psychoanalysis, transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural approach). She is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR therapy.
With kindness and without judgement, Laurène supports her patients in better understanding their difficulties and identifying strategies to resolve their conflicts.

Children
Parents are the primary actors who can help their child. However, there are situations where they are no longer “sufficient”. Faced with their child’s suffering, they can feel powerless. The psychologist then highlights the difficulties and thinks about tools and strategies so that the child can feel more at ease. Several signs can lead parents to seek an initial consultation. Laurène is particularly trained to support the following issues:
- Lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem
- Opposition, aggression (at home or at school), impulsivity
- Relationship difficulties (bullying, isolation, fragile social skills, bonds broken by expatriation)
- Fear of failure, anxiety
- Phobia
- Depression
- Academic difficulties (poor understanding of instructions, lack of organisation, ADHD)
- Psychological assessment (efficiency and attention)
- Autistic disorder
Adults
Any situation that causes an imbalance, discomfort or sustained pressure can lead to psychological suffering and deserves your attention. The reasons for consultation are varied; here are the issues Laurène supports:
- Recurrent sadness, daily crying, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts, sleep disorders
- Chronic anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, phobias
- Professional burnout, stress, worries about the future, work addiction
- Perinatal and parenting issues: baby blues, parental guidance
- Expatriation, culture shock, “third culture” children
- Psychological suffering following a somatic illness
