Dr Maria Naymark is a GP with extensive experience across several fields of medicine. A graduate of Moscow Medical Academy, she has worked as a doctor in the UK for over 15 years.
During several years practising in various hospitals across London, Dr Naymark predominantly worked in acute medicine, treating very ill people requiring urgent admission to hospital. She then developed her interest in children’s and women’s health, obtaining the DRCOG (Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) in women’s health and the British Menopause Society Certificate in the Management of the Menopause.
A well-rounded General Practitioner, Dr Naymark believes in treating each patient in the context of their life circumstances and the meaning they give to their illness. She does this by paying particular attention to disease prevention, which helps her guide her patients towards realistic and achievable changes to their lifestyle.
Dr Naymark has also worked in cancer research at Imperial College London and has several publications in this field. She is a native Russian speaker.
