Dr Kim Varma is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon. She recently relocated to London after 14 years at the Nuffield Hospital in Wolverhampton, and currently works at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and at The London Skin and Hair Clinic.

Dr Varma specialises in skin surgery. In 2009 she completed a one-year post-CCT fellowship in dermatological surgery at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where she went on to work as a Consultant Dermatological Surgeon performing Mohs surgery until April 2016.

Her consultant experience also includes City Hospital in Birmingham, where she was a substantive Consultant Dermatological Surgeon and lead for surgical dermatology. She was closely involved in streamlining surgical coding and in organising surgical safety, training and the management of theatre staff.

Dr Varma has extensive experience of leading teams and developing safe care pathways. She has worked with multidisciplinary teams to make sure patient care pathways are followed, and is a strong advocate of safe services and better pathways for patients.

Throughout her career she has kept a strong focus on clinical work, supported by her involvement in research and teaching.
