Dr Akeel Alisa is an experienced Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Physician. He was awarded his medical degree from Cambridge University (Girton College) in 1993 and trained at various leading London hospitals: King’s College, University College London and St George’s. He has gained experience in all aspects of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and general medicine.

He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 1998 and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He was awarded an MD by UCL in 2012.

Dr Alisa is the founder and director of Leaders in Gastrointestinal Care London (LGCL), and a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Physician at the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust (Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals). He is a director at Kensington International Clinic, Centre of Excellence in Gastroenterology, as well as Medical Director and Lead in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Services at Elective Services (ES).

He is Local Lead in Endoscopy Training and a faculty member at St George’s National Endoscopy Training Centre and United European Gastroenterology. He offers patients evidence-based informed choice and a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
